Free Meals and Books for Kids This Summer: Operation Sandwich

Free Meals for Kids are being offered this summer through the following programs:

Operation sandwich

Brainerd Public Schools for all students up to 18 years old. The menu variety rotates on a 2 week cycle and may include pizza, hamburger on a bun, hot dog, chicken filet on a bun, chicken nuggets, sub sandwich, etc.

Washington Educational Services Building, 804 Oak Street, Brainerd Breakfast: 8:30 – 9:00 am

Lunch: 11:30 am -12:30 pm Monday – Friday, June 6 – August 26



Operation Sandwich Delivery Locations & Schedule

Lowell School: 11:45 am – 12:10 pm Garfield School: 12:15 – 12:40 pm

Harrison School: 12:45 – 1:15 pm Whipple Beach, Baxter: 12:00 – 12:30 pm Kiwanis Park: 12:40 – 1:10 pm

Monday – Thursday, June 6 – September 1 www.operationsandwichcwc.org


Take a Bite out of Boredom with Books.

On Mondays, the “Book Café

follows Operation Sandwich to Lowell, Garfield and Harrison schools and distributes

new and gently used, age appropriate books to the children picking up lunches.
