Happy October! In a way, I am glad to put September behind me! Not because it was bad, just because it was insanely BUSY.
Here are some of the Lakes Area Mom Squad highlights from Sept.
Mom Deserves a Break Giveaway!
With school starting and a long summer ending, I got the bright idea that Lakes Area moms deserved a break. So I rallied a whole bunch of wonderful local businesses and thanks to their donations I was able to give away a HUGE basket filled with “pamper me” treats for one lucky mom.
The winner was Alyssa Long! Alyssa has been a long-time supporter of Lakes Area Mom Squad, has two little boys (and a little girl on the way!), does daycare and holds down the fort while hubby Chris works out-of-town. Alyssa IS a mom who “deserves a break.” Enjoy your goodies Alyssa!
FREElance FREEdom Ticket Giveaway!
Another awesome giveaway in September was for a free ticket to FREElance FREEdom.
FREElance FREEdom was a one-day intensive bootcamp created by myself and Kathleen Krueger. Our goal was to shed some light on, and create a path for, those interested in working from home as freelancers. Kathleen and I are both living, loving and ROCKIN the freelance life and we wanted to take our knowledge, expertise and even mistakes and bundle it into something others could learn from. The winner of the ticket (a $50 value) was Lisa Walker and we were thrilled that Lisa could join us the day of the bootcamp.
FREElance FREEdom Freelance Success Bootcamp
Then there was the FREElance FREEdom Freelance Success Bootcamp itself and WOW. We are so thrilled how it all turned out!
24 Bootcampers showed up at the Holiday Inn Express in Baxter (which is a wonderful place to have a conference) and settled in for a long day of some pretty intense learning about everything to do with working from home as a freelancer.
(Thank you to Krista Soukup from Blue Cottage Agency for the photos)
Be sure and check out Kathleen’s article on the day on her Living Listening Loving blog.
Kathleen and I ended the day amazed by our awesome students and blown away by their level of commitment and determination. We left super-charged and ready to continue building on this event. We are planning more Freelance Freedom opportunities via upcoming online classes and possibly even more live events! If you want to be kept up to date on these new opportunities, please feel free to CONTACT ME for for further information.
Thanks for a September to Remember!
