This last week we all went to Monster’s University. It was AWESOME! You may remember the original Monsters Inc where buddies Mike and Sully were offical “Scarers.” The energy from the screams of little kids was what powered the Monsters, Inc. community. Rewind to Monster’s University-basically the “pre-quel” to how Mike and Sully met.

Good stuff 🙂

So if you have any “monster lovers” in the house I would definitely brave the crowds and catch this flick at Lakes 12 Theatre.

Also in my Internet travels I’ve found some pretty cute “Monster-themed” books for kids as well. Here’s a peek:

One of my favorite bloggers No Time for Flashcards has a great 19 Monster Books For Kids booklist to check out.

Another awesome mom blogger is Mom 2 two Posh Lil Divas. Bernadette always has great info and activities on her blog and I really like her 12 Best Loved Monster Books for Kids list.

Looking for some monster-themed activities? I found this neato Monster BookMark Craft from oh, Crafts! that uses the corner of an envelope. Ka-UTE!

I also thought this 100-Eyed Monster crafts from Freshly Completed was pretty hilarious too! And easy enough to create!

And lastly, how about some not-so-scary Monster Sandwiches for YOUR hungry little monster!
