11/11/11 Honoring our Veterans Today and Always

Last night I went to my son’s 3rd grade school program that was all about “God Bless The USA” and honoring our veterans.

It was absolutely PRECIOUS.

What moved me the most is, a couple times throughout the program, they had the Veterans in the audience stand and be honored as the kids sang. They were of all ages, men and women both. It was soooooo cool to see how MOVED these veterans were to just be honored and recognized. I know I saw some tears on a few of the grizzled, wise faces of the older vets.

We are so proud of how well our son did, but it was (as a whole) one of those amazing moments that I wish I could bottle and save forever.

What are YOU doing today to honor our vets??
